FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Dear Esteemed Clients and Stakeholders

It feels as if 01 January 2021 was only yesterday, but reality says we have already entered the second quarter of the 2021 calendar year. As it was said before, “Time Flies”, this applies to us at the Royal Eswatini National Airways Corporation whereby we are fully engaged and committed to complete multiple projects.

Second quarter of 2021 calendar year also marks beginning of our 2021/22 financial year, from April to March of the following year. Our 5 Years’ Strategic Plan was approved during the first quarter, and contains critical initiatives most of which are planned for implementation during the 2021/22 financial year.

The first initiative concluded and implemented involves transfer of our RENAC travel agency business unit to a wholly owned subsidiary company, Royal Eswatini Travel Agency (RETA) effective 01 April 2021. We believe that by running RETA as a separate legal entity and business, its operations will be more competitive to become a player to be reckoned with in Eswatini’s travel and hospitality industry. Further work involved in this regard aims to have RETA attain IATA accreditation during the first half of 2021.

Another key activity for this financial year includes the planned launch of RENAC’s regional scheduled air services, which forms the core of our purpose and objectives, i.e. to globally connect the Kingdom of Eswatini through safe, efficient, and competitive aviation services.

We are currently undergoing and busy with fulfilment of the applicable certification process requirements and upon completion thereof, the necessary announcements on key highlights of our scheduled operations business plan will be issued.

Allow me to once again use this opportunity to thank all our key stakeholders for the continued support. Without your contributions, our organisation would not have been able to accomplish the many milestones; and our continued existence would also have been compromised.
